Business Case
Business case is a document aiming to justify an investment into a business or government initiative. It is normally developed to get the parties approving resources, such as project sponsors, interested and to gain approval to proceed.
A strong business case would enable the audience to analyse the rationale for the proposed initiative, reasoning why the chosen course of action should be prioritised over other available options, comparing the strengths and weakness, costs and benefits (Cost-Benefit Analysis), and risks involved. A business case is often written based on detailed evaluations of proposed alternatives provided in the preceding feasibility study.
