Professional Business Plans handles personal information (PI) it collects in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principals (APP) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This Privacy Statement explains how we handle PI.

Professional Business Plans collects PI about its clients or potential clients that is required to provide services to its clients. This means that when our clients or potential clients use our website or enquire about our services over the phone, we may collect PI such as their names, telephone numbers and email addresses.
When we provide services to our clients, most information we collect relates to businesses rather than persons, however, we may collect PI about our clients, their representatives, their clients and others. If we do, our clients agree to work with us to ensure that we both meet the obligations that we each may have under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Our clients’ obligations may include ensuring their privacy policy and contracts include a reference to their collection practices, how they will use the PI and that they may disclosure the PI to an agent for public accounting services.
We do not collect sensitive information (such as medical history) from either users of the Professional Business Plans website or clients of Professional Business Plans.
How we hold personal information
We keep all collected personal and business information secure, with electronic data stored on computer servers in a controlled environment, protected from unauthorised access.
How we use personal information
We only use PI we collect for the purpose of providing the services our clients have requested from us and will not sell or rent our clients’ information to another party.
Disclosing our clients’ personal information
We will only disclose our clients’ PI for the purposes that they provided it for or purposes directly related to it.
We will disclose our clients’ PI without notice only if: 1) it is required by law, 2) we believe it is necessary to fulfil our terms of engagement; or 3) to protect the rights and property of Professional Business Plans, or personal safety of members of the public, Professional Business Plans’ officers, staff and contractors.
